Has anyone else been to the beautiful Jenolan Caves west of Sydney? They are near the Blue Mountains.

We can't keep it a secret any longer! They have been named as the world's oldest discovered open caves according to an article in the Sydney Morning Herald.

Coming to Sydney in the near future? You might like to keep them in mind.

Were they ever used for human habitation? (I LOVE caves and cave-dwellers)

I just read up on the history of the Jenolan Caves and it talks about local Aboriginals knowing of its existence for housands of years and one particular convict hiding there to escape justice.

Quarter of a million visitors go to the caves every year.
