Thanks a lot for the link as well as the timely reply. It will help me a lot.. some sites said that august is the time of rainfall, thats why I wondered whether it was a best time or a wet time to visit..

People who tell you August is wet for Munnar may be confusing Kerala with North Central India. Kerala, being in Southern India, has a different monsoon pattern than the northern provinces. Their confusion is your gain. Go before the tourists show up :-)
