Janet, the woman at the Piscaq Market (first frame at the bottom of Page 1 is a wonderful picture. I just love it! Hopefully, you will print (at least 13X19") and frame it.

I have two printers ready to go and lots of paper if you would like to take advantage of either or both as I would gladly print a couple for you just for the pleasure of seeing the prints (Epson 7600 and Epson 2400).

Thank you Peter! I do have an Epson color photo printer, the 825, and it makes fantastic prints, although only up to 8-1/2 wide. I've already made some 8 x 10's and also printed the Machu Picchu panorama...now I just need to get it framed. I plan to move up to a wider printer as soon as I can find a space to put it! Anyway, thanks for the offer ;-)

If you change you mind Janet, the offer stands. I live in NJ about 15 miles west of NYC and am there quite often.

Cool, neat to see other people's perspectives of places you have gone to. The Pisac area ones were nice.

Thanks Matt! I'm glad they brought back some (recent!) memories.

And Peter...I just may end up taking you up on your offer...its very tempting...I'd like to make some larger prints, I think. I just need more wallspace to hang them!

Meantime, I've now put my shots on the Slowtrips gallery (and entered them in the 2006 contest, of course!) HERE

Janet, as usual your lovely photos delighted my eyes(and my co-workers eyes' too) Big Grin I was looking at your pictures at work (a slow day in mammo-ville) Eek and a few of my co-workers were looking along with me. We were "ooing" and "ahhing"...really lovely. The colors of the blankets, stunning! also, love the picture of the woman and the child walking "Along the road coming down from Pisaq", such a sweet picture.

thank you again for putting together such a lovely photo album and for making an afternoon at work enjoyable! Thumbs Up

Janet------your photography is beautiful! I am envious of your talent and skill!! Many of the pictures, particularly the faces, brought so much of our experience to mind. I see you found your birds--weren't they wonderful? Have you done a trip report--I could be ambitous and check it out but it is easier just to ask. I really want to hear all about the time you had there.

Pokey, thank you so much for your lovely comments! I am really glad you enjoyed the photos.

Jane...ditto to what I just said Big Grin I am glad to see you here, I was wondering why we haven't yet seen a trip report from Alaska (even a quick synopsis--I am dying to hear!!)

As for me...I am not really one for writing trip reports, I rely on the photos to tell a visual report. We did have a fabulous time and we absolutely loved Peru, I am already trying to figure out when we can return and do the Amazon area. Our only real complaint was that the trip was too short, and a bit rushed...due to the birding focus of the trip we didn't get to spend as much time in some places as we would have liked. We loved Cuzco and could have spent at least a couple of days there, just walking and shopping. And of course, we would have liked some more time at Machu Picchu...we would have like the opportunity to go up early in the a.m. but of course, that's prime birding time. So, next trip we will plan to go back to the Sacred Valley on our own for a few days, then either to the Amazon basin via Iquitos or the south (Manu/Tampobata.) And there's so much else we didn't get to at all...Arequipa, Titicaca, Nazca, the north...its a big country!

hope to see some photos of Alaska soon Smile

Janet, thanks for asking about Alaska and I will get something up--you have motivated me. Since returning my time, energy, mental capacities have been absorbed by the challenge of getting stuff in order for our year in Italy. This is not an easy task as there are many, many facets. Our current dilemma is trying to figure out the best location for school for Casey. Anyway, other things have been set aside for awhile.

Alaska is awesome! Strangely, I took many fewer pictures as it is just too large to capture. I found myself just giving into what I was seeing--and knowing that there was no way that I could show it in pictures. It takes someone far more adept than I. But--I did get a few which I will post. I promise. I did update Casey's pages. Here's a link to his visage CASEY
