I know, I know....

But besides that, last year our New Years ... well ... let's just say it was non-existent, so Chris was hoping to do something special this year. Is there anything going on in Jerusalem that night do you think/know?

Thanks!

Topping this for Kim.

I googled a bit and it sounds like New Years Eve is not a big celebration in Jerusalem. You may want to find a nice restaurant to celebrate with Chris. I did find an on-line copy of the current Time-Out magazine for Israel. It may have some ideas.

Thanks Marta - yeah, this is the second time I'll be in Israel for New Years and it's not a big deal. Last time, the last night of Hanukkah was on New Years Eve, so we ended up being invited to a "Hanukkah Party," which was fun.

I think the plan will end up being, a nice dinner out and then a bottle of bubbly in the room and a Rummy Cube marathon (which will make the girls happy).

I asked my contact at the travel agency we use there for our room blocks. She said they don't really do anything there the way that we do in the US. Sorry!
