Does anyone have any suggestions for a 2 week vacation in mid-November that might warm (65-75 degrees), not too rainy? We're looking for accomodation where we can just relax and do our own cooking. Nothing very touristy. Thoughts and suggestions welcome.
Thanks.

Some less touristy Caribbean island might be a good choice. It should be past hurricane season by then, and the temperature should be about right. If it rains, it should only be brief showers. There are a number of places with villas to rent. As an example, check out this site:

We stayed at the Allamanda Resort in Phuket, Thailand (web: http://www.allamanda.com/). We went in October (low season) and it was not very rainy at all, November is supposed to be even drier. I think the rates in November are about $20 higher than low season. For a 1-bedroom suite, this is a one-bedroom apartment not a studio or room, with full bath, good sized bedroom, living room, dining area, and kitchen (fully stocked except for food). The resort is located on a lagoon (beautiful) and you can walk or take the lagoon-ferry to the beach. Oh, also they have a full-buffet breakfast included where they will fix eggs, etc for you. The staff is very helpful and friendly and speak English excellently. I really feel like I'm blabbing on here but this was a wonderful place. I would call, a five star resort.

For low season we paid $83/night including tax - November will probably be more like $105-110 per night. (PS: ON THE WEBSITE DO NOT LOOK AT THE RACK RATES, LOOK AT PROMOTIONS). And, we rented a small car (through the Internet) and a guy met us at the airport and took us to his office (5 minutes). Including rental and all insurance the cost was $15/day. No kidding.

The Allamanda is one in a series of 5-hotels on the lagoon, the area is called Laguna Phuket.

We had to fly into Bangkok and then take a Thai Air flight to Phuket. There are other airlines in Thailand that fly there but I can't remember the names - so you could probably Google.
