Anyone know of a private car service we could use to meet us at the airport in Santiago and drive us to our hotel? We would probably want them to drive us to Valparaiso to join our cruise ship after a couple of days.Thanks!

We used several different methods getting between the Airport and Santiago on our recent trip but private car service was not one of them. We used the local bus, shuttle service and taxi. All were good and easy to take although the bus is probably not very convenient. The shuttle services are very good and they do provide transportation to other destinations such as the ski resorts or Vina del Mar. If you don't find a private car service, you might want to look into using the shuttles. There are two different services and they are both about the same. We used TransVIP I think. A quick check at the TransVIP site shows cost to Vina Del Mar at 50,000 peso which is around $80US.
