Hi- My 19-year old daughter is in Columbia this week with her college choir group. They were in Bogota for a couple of nights and are now in Cucuta, which is near the Venezualean border. They are then going to Pamplona for 5 nights. Does anyone know about these areas? I have not been able to find much information about these spots as I try to envision her there. She did call this morning and said Cucuta was pretty impoverished. I can't help but worry- after all, I'm her mother!

Harriett, Colombia is spelled with an "o". That could help in your search.

I understand your worry. Like everywhere in the world, I would always recommend using common sense when traveling.

Thanks Steve! That did help, actually! It's amazing how important spelling is! And I do think my daughter has a good share of common sense, but you just never know!
