We are considering taking our family to Costa Rica this summer but I am really lost in the planning. I know June is the "green season", does that translate into "rainy season"? Is it a bad time to go? Does anyone have a recommendation on what beach would be good and not too far from San Jose? We are sort of looking at Malpais or Manuel Antonio. We have heard a lot of the beaches have bad riptides, but can't seem to find out which ones to avoid. We will have two children with us ages 9&14. Any insight anyone has would greatly be appreciated!
