One of my daughters spent 5 months (August 2006- January 2007) in India, based in Goa. With her permission and assistance, I will be posting a few photo albums of her travels.
The first 2 are listed below. She had a limited amount of time in Mumbai, which she enjoyed immensely - so her images show only a small part of that large city, formerly known as Bombay.
Thanks for posting the pictures Doug. They are great. I'm curious about traveling to India and I enjoyed the albums. I'm looking forward to seeing more.

We just got back from India and despite being only 4 hours away from the Taj, we decided not too go as we had too many other places we wanted to visit and Elisabeth's thinking was that it was too touristy. It's always been a dream of mine to see it in person, but I defered to my wife's superior trip-planning skills.
Well, the trip was awesome - but of course, everyone we met along the way just raved about Agra and the Taj !
But I have come to terms with our decision not to visit, mostly because it gives us a great reason to go back sometime soon !
Where did you travel in India? How did you get around?
Is there a Trip Report or some photos in the future?
We had a lunch GTG in Toronto last Monday. Of course, Doru had high praise for Mas Perreal.
We will be in Rome for the first 2 weeks of September, and are then returning to the Luberon for 10 days - Sept. 15-25.
I always thought I would like to keep traveling to different places, but the south of France is certainly a beautiful part of the world. No wonder the Romans spent so much time there.
We spent 18 fantastic days all in the Rajasthan - which is not too much smaller than France, to give you an idea.
Itinerary was Mandawa, Bikaner, Jodpur, Udaipur, Pushkar, and Jaipur, then a last day in Dehli. Not exactly slow traveling, I know, but we just wanted to take in as much as possible on a first visit. The pace was actually pretty good as we would visit one or two major sites in each stop and spend afternoons shopping in the bazaars (which are incredible) or hanging out at the places we were staying (which were often very old palaces and really made you feel like royalty !).
I've never actually done a trip report, but I am thinking I'll definately put something together for this trip. Lots of photos too.
