Perfect timing June! I was just thinking to myself since we are not going to Hawaii this winter, maybe we can go to Tahiti. The last time we were there was when we first moved in together - 1980!! I made a note to email you with questions - and now here you post lovely photos!!

I've seen it as low as $395 return from LAX in the winter.

Pauline,
A fellow named John who works for Marc ( this is Marc's site ) also runs a "pension" - bed and breakfast place on Huanine. I know nothing about it, but I thought Huanine was one of the most beautiful places, as well as the island of Moorea and the islands of Raitea/Tahaa.

On our trip we spent a week on Huahine, a week on Bora Bora and a week on Moorea, plus a few days on the main island.

Do you know of any places that have kitchens? I would be happier if I could cook some meals. On our trip before, we stayed in hotels, but that was before I stopped eating meat - so eating in restaurants all the time was okay. I am sure it would be fine now - but having a kitchen would be nice.

I am not sure if we will do it this year - but I was running through a few hot places in my mind - Carribean (which I can never spell), Mexico, Pacific other than Hawaii. You know me - always 5 maybe trips in the works.

Pauline, I don't know of any specific places but if I run across any in my Jan Prince Tahiti book I'll let you know.
It was very pleasant weather in Sept. when we went. Very little humidity and not much rain. I understand that Nov. through April is the rainy and humid season, so we chose not to go then.J.
