My wife and I will be visiting this region on our way to Italy (flying into Paris). We plan on spending the first three days of our vacation in the Burgundy region (possibly staying in Beaunne). Anyone have any suggestions of where to stay and wineries to visit?

Hi Mike!

There have been a few threads in the past with recommendations for Burgundy lodging and activities. If you use the "Find" function you'll "find" them all! Smile

Here's one
Here's another

Here's a trip report with Burgundy details

You don't give a price range...but:

Look at Hotel de la Poste and Hotel Le Cep in Beaune

Hostellerie de Levernois is just outside Beaune.

If you happen to be a fan of B&Bs, le Presbytere is a delightful place.

Sorry everyone, it's no contest! Noyers sur Serein wins hands down. We stayed overnight in transit to Italy and regretted that we didn't have days to stay and soak up the atmosphere (not to mention visit the surrounding towns and wineries). We will return some time for a week. We stayed at Hotel St Nicolas. If we were staying for a week, there is a two bedroom apartment above one of the shops inside the walls. If you are serious, I can search our files for the address and contact details.

Please have a look at the dozens of photos of Noyers I have posted at my site below. This really is a special village.
