Hello My husband has a rostered week off next week and we'd like to go to Provence. We'll head off Monday night and take our time, and plan to be in Provence Tuesday 12th till Saturday 16th, then take our time driving home.
But my big problem is accomodation...everywhere seems to be booked We are a family of four (2 adults and 2 kids - 5 years and 2.5 years old) and we usually stay at places outside towns, with space and character.
But at this stage I'll take anything! (well...)
Does anyone have any suggestions for places to try?
Thanks in advance

My husband and I stayed at Le Mazet de Gardy last spring and enjoyed our stay. It's out of town yet you can easily walk to Eyragues which is just a few minutes by car to St. Remy.
A friend has told us about the Mas de Sol in the countryside between Bonnieux and Lacoste-- a beautiful location. I believe this is just recently renovated, so perhaps they have vacancies. I have not had a chance to visit this B&B, but I know exactly where it is and my friend has good taste!
One reason I'm suggesting this place is that I believe a couple of the rooms (and there are just a few) are set up for families. I think the price is very reasonable.
Have you looked at the Gite de France website? This may be an easy way to find an economical family accommodation on short notice.
We stayed at Le Lavandin guesthouse in Pernes les Fontaines this summer. It is a most gorgeous place! 15 minutes north of L'Isle sur la Sorgue. We did day trips and Georgia mapped out our directions each day and we didn't have any problems. It is a B&B. Website is www.lelavandinprovence.com.

I would like to suggest that you contact Kevin at Le Mas Perreal in St. Saturnin de Apt. He and his wife have a gorgeous place and if they have availability it is a wonderful location to explore the region. Germaine
Try http://www.gite-provencal.com/ We loved it! It has a pool and is just a little ways out of Vaison la Romaine. Could be tight w/2 children, especially if it...gasp, rains! Lovely family, set in a vineyard and among olive trees.

A few years ago, our family (2 adults, 2 children)stayed at Le Paradis Cache near Menerbes (on the edge of the Luberon National Park -- walking trails right from the villa.) It was a wonderful spot...nice views, great house. Here's the website: http://www.housesforhire.com/html/Areas-France/Provence...s/LeParadisCache.htm
