Just discovered "Slow Traveler" and wanted to introduce our Restoration Travel to the membership. We're in the business of providing unique, intimate (meaning small group) travel opportunities to persons interested in the preservation of historically/culturally significant structures, landscapes and arts and crafts. The experience is a combination of hands-on work, play and learning.

Currently, we have 4 operating sites - Fort Apache, AZ (adobe and pueblo preservation), Fort de Guise in the north of France (masonry, landscaping and museum work), Bardou (early choral music and other workshops/performances - we'll be performing in small gothic and romanesque churches)in mountains of the Massif Central of SW France and our collaboration with l'Ecole d'Avignon (a restoration trades school for professionals in Avignon)where we've designed 2-week courses in faux painting and lime rendering for non-professionals.

We'd appreciate the opportunity to make members aware of this opportunity, and since this is a rather unique group we serve, we'd really like feed back from Slow Traveler members - as in - "Anybody Interested?" Please check out our website at:

http://www.restorationtravel.com

- we'd appreciate your comments! Thanks & as a very wise spider once counseled "never hurry, never worry..."

Best to You - Bob Schmitz

I will add a link to your web site from our France section. If possible, have someone send us a "review" of one of your trips. They sound interesting!!
