Does anyone have any recommendations that would fit my "wish list"?
*Seaside - craggy beach would be good - want to hear the water and the sounds of the sea -coastline
*one or two bedrooms *high standard of furnishings and supplies *quiet *not right next to other houses - privacy- but with parking *internet a real plus or WiFi
I have gone through the reviews on this site but nothing seems to fit the criteria.
Edited to add: Was the URL too long? Shows up correctly when I edit, doesn't post. anyhow, copy and paste the above into a new Browser Tab.
Two ensuite bedrooms, very high quality throughout. Does have neighbors. Plenty of parking. Good restaurant in town, several in next town, Tregastel. No idea about Internet connection.
Not craggy, as this is not quite the Pink Granite Coast. But the Sentier du Douanier runs right past the bottom of the lawn, and can be walked for, oh, a hundred miles or so. People have a shellfish farm out in the water. Plenty of waves crashing on the rocks at the little estuary's entrance to the Channel.

Have you tried www.gite.com? They specialise in France, and have a number of houses in the Brittany section which look intersting.
Even better, they have a section called 'Looking for accommodation' where you can enter your criteria. This is mailed to most of the people on the site, who can then respond if they have something that matches your needs.
Yes, I have looked at the Gites site but I was hoping for personal recommendations and recommendations.
I am specific about my needs and, because I would be staying for one to three months, it would not be a situation I could easily get out of if the house was not satisfactory.
So if anyone has a personal experience with a beautiful home along the coast, please do write.
In June 2005 we stayed in a friend's rental in Brittany, but I'm afraid it doesn't meet your criteria. It was a lovely and quiet, located near Quimperle, but it was not seaside and it had 4-5 bedrooms.

Yes, we stayed in it for one week in 2004. It was one of the nicest places we've ever rented, either here in the U.S. or abroad, and that would cover several dozen houses and apartments, at least. The ground floor shower was magnificent; the washer dryer modern and capacious (by European vacation rental standards); location pretty, quiet and convenient to all kinds of vacation activities. Everything about it was more than up to snuff. Had a big TV we never watched, interesting books on local history in the bookcase. Hostess was efficient; we never had to call her but she was there at the arranged times and business went without a hitch.
I'd recommend it unconditionally. It was a beautiful modern beach vacation house. It was not isolated, in that there were neighbors, but there was plenty of yard and plantings, so no one would be looking in the windows. It was "isolated" in that it was on a little road in a fairly rural area. A car was a necessity. Twenty minutes or less to the true Pink Granite Coast. And it has its bottom in the water. Cool!

That's what it says in the description on the Gite de France web site: "The house has its bottom in the water." They mean, the yard ends at the water's edge. Which indeed it does.

It is right on the river Rance between St Malo and Dinan, on a quiet beautiful corner between 2 beautiful towns. The interior is very nice French country style. The kitchen is excellently equipped - an important point for us as we love to cook. The owners live next door. They are very discreet, were invisible except when they came over to give us their own farm's eggs and their own home-brew cidre. The owner loves Americans and remembers them fondly from WW2, when they set up antiaircraft installations in the garden and duked it out with the other side. The owner told me he was very afraid of planes falling on his farm. La Vlle es Nonais is also an excellent base as it is in the middle of many places worth visiting, like St Malo, St Briac sur Mer and the breathtaking coast beyond, Dinan, Mont St Michel, Dol de Bretagne and especially the nearby enchanting riverside village St Suliac. In fact you can ride a horse (next door is a ferme équestre, a riding camp) on the river and into St Suliac. There is an excellent farm-inn in nearby St Jouan des Guerets, which one must book.
Sorriest the page is not available in English. It is also available on "gites de france", but on "gites de france", all the pages can have English option, except when it comes to the specific gîte: http://www.gites-de-france.com/gites/smileservice/reche...CAPMIN=1&CAPMAX=none Sorriest, that's how Gites de France makes you work to make certain you have "earned" it.
