We are fetching friends from the airport in Nice and driving through to Menton, and would like to knock their socks off with a quaint, traditonal lunch venue.

Not really looking for a posh - five star starched tablecloth place, but more a traditonal small french eatery -off the beaten track that we can detour off our route for lunch.

Any unusual suggestions would be greatly appreciated. (our friends have never been to France)

Both are on the way, do not break bank, have great view and good bistro food (The latter serves pasta dishes as you may guess).
