I finally had a chance today to get out of my garden and write up a blog for our recent trip to the South of France (Nice, Menton, Cap Ferrat, Mougins, Gourdon, Cap d'Antibes, St. Marguerite, Saint-Tropez, Frejus, Tourettes-sur-Loop, etc.). We were based in Nice (May 1-3), then moved to an apartment in Mougins (May 3-10).
In the future, I need to find out how to blog here on ST instead of my usual place (permissions to do so, etc).
Hope this is helpful! It was our favorite trip so far.
Your blog was so interesting and the photos superb. We were just in Tourrettes-sur-Loup this past April and LOVED that perched village! Now after reading your blog, I want to see St. Tropez.
You are right about the French as I too thought they were such lovely people. I beg to differ about the drivers in Nice though . I thought they were aggressive. Even the locals I spoke to in Villefranche sur Mer told me they prefer not to drive in that city.
Cameron..I enjoyed your Blog and pictures so much. We were supposed to be in Provence about the same time that you were in South of France but had to cancel. Now I am just beginning to think about rescheduling and definitely want to add Nice and environs to the trip. Great report!

Loved reading about your trip to one of our favorite parts of the world, Cameron. We have only been to the Cote d'Azur in winter, so it was fun to see all the flower and beach pictures.
We also found the people in Nice and environs especially friendly.
