The location of La Barauderie seems perfect! I really enjoyed my Loire sojourn in '87. Don't miss Azay-le-Rideau if you get a chance. It's small, but a real jewel. Villandry and its gardens are idyllic. Ussey was in the vicinity, as I recall, and it was a bust except for the chapel.
