Can anyone recommend a villa in Provence that we could rent for one week in early October? We need about 7 bedrooms to accomodate 7 couples. We would be interested in having a housekeeper come in each day and possibly someone who would do some shopping for food and meal preparation. We would like to have the option of eating at the villa (meals provided) or some of the nights to go out to a restaurant for dinner. Of course, we would like flexibility with this. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Or you could try www.masdelhermitage.com They have 7 beautiful gite/apartments (each sleeping 2 or 3) in one large "mas" with swimming pool and offer self-catering, fully catered or B&B. They are a very friendly English/French couple who have travelled extensively in the United States and their facilities are apparently in the top 3 in France.

Annya, if you run a vacation rental agency or are an owner of vacation rentals, please tell us about yourself and your business and we will list you on the web site. These are the questions I ask of agencies or owners:
- Are you an agency or a vacation rental owner? - Country where your vacation rental(s) is located. - Number of properties you have for rent and type (e.g. apartments on a farm, houses, etc.) - Is English spoken?

Hello, now that I am back from my three months in France, let me mention that while there I signed on a place just south of Maillane and about 4 miles n. of St. Remy that is simply wonderful. It isn't often that I walk into a place and my heart starts fluttering. This is one of those places. The house has two sections (it is a century-old bastide) with three bedroom parent's section and the main house with four bedrooms. All have their own bathrooms. There is a pool, huge plantane trees in the front, outdoor dining, etc. This particular area, the "fruit basket" of France, is perfectly flat and great for bicycling..although there are views all the way to the Alpilles, about 10 kms. away. The living room is huge and esp. notable, and there is A.C. which is quite unusual in France (but it doesn't freeze you like US systems, it is quite mild in comparison.) The property is called Belle Vue, so email me if you are still looking and I will contact the owner to see if it is available in Sept. (It was a few days ago). I have a client who booked it in March and can tell you about it, too. Susan rentavilla@aol.com
