Okay - so the first apartment we were looking at fell through. Turns out we'll be in Paris during the marathon and the owner will be using it then. We're going through a list of apartments right now but here's another one that appeals to me though I'm again, not familiar with the area - anyone have any thoughts:

Debussy Apartment?

It's on Rue Huysmans not far from Boulevard Raspail - just how big a road is that?

As always, thanks for your help!

Kim,
That's a couple of blocks from my apartment on rue Madame! Boulevard Raspail is a busy street and I think it is 4 lane, 2 each way.
You are in a gorgeous area! Only a short walk from my favorite Bread and Roses bakery and deli, same distance from Luxembourg Jardin.

Any other questions, please ask.

Huysmann is not a big road like Raspail but is well frequented during the day especially with people going to the Luxembourg gardens.
Very nice location again and somewhat more central than your 1st choice in the 7th. From Huysmann you can walk to many more places.

Oh Kim, when are you coming?

That is a nice area that you are looking at. Marché on blvd Raspail, Montparnasse is close, Saint Germain right there and Luxembourg minutes away. Rue Vavin with the cool cafés is so close. And Edgar Quinet with the very cool cafes

The street is a one way street and not really busy, it is a narrow street, very residential.
