Hi Guys! I'm beginning to think about my daily trip from the Rue Guenegaud apartment to my classes at Alliance Francais. Can anyone tell me how long it will take? or should I plan on taking the bus or metro? I will, of course, want to have my "cafe et croissant" along the way. Any suggestions?

It is quite walkable and what a great walk.
Viamichelin suggests this route which takes 22 minutes.
But I suggest you reserve at least half an hour for dilly-dallying and shilly-shallying on the lovely walk. Cool

That IS a lovely walk. Lucky you!

You pass right by the Boulangerie Paul on Rue de Buci, a great stop for your cafe and croissant.

Hmmm..... interesting thought, Americana. Maybe come autumn I'll devote some time to that.

The Mappy site (www.mappy.fr) also times the walk to Alliance Française at about 23 minutes but you can also use this site to learn about your options with public transportation; just choose the Itinéraire en transport en commun (IDF) option and it should even give the schedules.

Thanks, everyone!
What great suggestions. I can't wait! I'm a morning person so "dilly-dallying" will be part of my routine. How early does Cafe Paul open? Gotta figure in reading the paper and such.
