Hi. Well, I booked my free ticket on AA last night for myself and two friends in and out of Paris in August. We are planning on renting an spending a few days in Paris and spending a week in Nice in an apartment rental. I have looked many up on the internet and looked at the recommendations section on this board.

My question: has anyone stayed in a moderately priced apartment in Nice for 4 people that they have not submitted a review for or know of a good rental agency for Nice?

I am also looking for somewhere to stay (apartment or hotel) in Nice in early July. I haven't been able to find much of anything on the internet. Could anyone suggest some sites that are not the "plug in your dates, price range etc" type sites? They are not very helpful.

You might try the website French Connections. It is a "rent by owner" site-- many of the owners are British. The site includes apartment/cottage/villa rentals, as well as B&Bs and hotels.

The sites I have looked at for Nice rentals are:

www.abritel.fr
www.info-france.co.uk

They have all price ranges. Most are right in the middle of town.

Have a look at www.cheznous.com a very good and comprehensive database of French accommodation particularly strong for the CoteD'Azur/Alpes Maritime.
We used them last year and found this www.provencalhouse.com in Mougins, reviewed on this site. We were delighted. Prices are good because you book with the owner.
