Monica and two friends spend 16 days split between Paris and Provence. Totally whetted my appetite to visit this area. Lovely pictures, and web resources too, enjoy:

Two Week Trip to Paris and Provence!

Thanks Monica. Hey, if you have a chance, I'd be interested in hearing about the guide your friends used for Versailles - we're considering a day trip there in July and I'm thinking it might be more interesting to the teens if we had a guide along to explain things.

Oh goody! Big Grin I'm a huge fan of Monica's trip reports and photography. Thumbs Up As soon as I can, I'm printing this and look forward to reading about her adventures!
Monica, thank you for taking the time to write a trip report. I'm working on one now and (since I'm so wordy Wink Grin), it's hard work and time consuming. Cool

Monica,

I loved your report! HOw fun that you had a GTG with Kathy and Charley, they are such lovely people!

I laughed about you having to buy a new rolling suitcase because the weight of your things broke the wheels. Laugh

Your photos, no surprise, are exquisite! What kind of camera do you have? Not that I'd ever be able to take such gorgeous shots!

All the best,

I finally got a chance to sit down and read your trip report. It sounded great even with a little bit of rain. I also enjoyed viewing your wonderful photos. Both the report and photos were a pleasant way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Thanks for posting!

Monica, I loved your trip report. I know how long it takes to put these reports together, so appreciate it greatly. One of these days, we plan on visiting Provence, it looks wonderful.

Hi everyone!

I meant to post on this site about my trip report, but thanks to Kim for posting for me. I've been slowly adding my photos to my web site. I'm saving the best for last, so stay tuned!

So glad everyone enjoyed my report.

I'll check with my friend about the Versailles tour guide.

Cameras: I mostly use my Nikon D80 with a nikon 37-70mm f/2.8 lens. I also have a pocket digital - canon SD850 IS for evenings and when I get tired of carrying the heavy nikon.

And FYI, the wheels on my rolling duffle was weighted down with my equipment. The one problem with his photo hobby is having to carry all the equipment: cameras, lenses, chargers, cables, etc. Plus my husand bought me a great 10.2" netbook computer so I could do my journaling while traveling. That added weight too. I did buy a couple pieces of ceramics, so that added to the weight.

Hi Monica. I missed this when it was first posted, but I'm glad I read it. It so reminded me of our trip 3 (!) years ago to Paris and Provence. Your photos are really beautiful, and I have a personal soft spot for Lourmarin, which was our Provence base. Thanks for the re-visit.

I loved your report as well, and I really loved your photos of Lourmarin. I was amazed at how many of them I could locate exactly!

Kim,

This is information for the guide that Louisa used for Versailles: Michael Osman and his email is 0prisfind@aol.com

Terry and Chris, yes, Lourmarin is a lovely town!
