Hello! My wife and I are traveling to Saint Paul de Vence in late November and were curious if anyone had hotel recommendations. We haven't decided if we are going to rent a car yet so we would prefer to stay in the Village if possible. Does anyone have recommendations for under $200 U.S. per night? Thank you.

Hotel le Hameau is a wonderful little hotel, just outside the village. It's an easy walk, distance-wise, but a bit nerve-wracking on the edge of a busy road.

It's a very charming old hotel with beautiful gardens, pool, and wonderful views. We had a large room in the main building with a balcony that overlooked the Mediterranean. I wasn't too crazy about St. Paul de Vence itself, but I loved this hotel!

According to their website , they're well within your price range.

Getting around that area would certainly be easier with a car. I don't know much about public transportation in that area -- I'd expect there would be buses. You could probably take a bus to Nice and get to some other places by train from there. But if it were me, I'd have a car -- especially if you're going to be there for more than a couple of days.
