In the past, we've vacationed in Normandy, Brittany, the Dordogne (twice), the western and eastern Pyrénées, and the Languedoc. When we were based in Uzès, we visited Avignon, St-Rémy, Les Baux, Arles, Aigues-Mortes and the surrounding areas.

I'm now planning to spend one week in the Var (Callian) next September and am wondering where we could spend the second week. We always rent a gîte, which we prefer to a B&B.

Any suggestions?

Giny - I think you may have posted this twice - once in France and once in Everything about Travel. We moved the duplicate here and I'm going to close it.

Here is the thread where we are discussing options

Also, if you are potentially thinking about an area outside of France in a neighboring country - it would be best to post in the Rest of Europe.
