When in Paris, try the area near the old Les Halles. The classic place for kitchen items, especially copper, is E. Dehillerin. It is a treasure trove of classic kitchen ware, and the basement is not to be missed. There are other places in the area, too, but I've never shopped there. Also, try La Vaissellerie on Rue St. Antoine across from St. Paul-St. Louis church for inexpensive dishes, glasses and other table items. There used to be a quilt shop on the Left Bank on a back street across from Notre Dame. And I've seen fabric shops on Rue de Rivoli

That quilting shop is at 3 Rue de Bucherie. It was mentioned in an earlier thread. I remember because I could see that shop from the bedroom of the apartment we rented in Paris in March! Another suggestion is the BHV department store. I spend hours in their housewares department every time we're in Paris.
