I Heart your photos. The lavender photos are excellent but I'm really drawn to the blue Citroen. How did you find it with the matching shutters?

Marta, thank you!

The 2CV was blind luck. I just turned the corner and there it was. This was in Pernes les Fontaines.

It was one of those days where you didn't even want to be outside - we explored very little of this town because it was just so bloody hot, we decided to go back to the pool to have a light lunch. Luckily I walked a little bit further before turning back...

Beautiful photos!

As a gardener, I have to wonder why there aren't more lavender and sunflower fields here in the US. Such stunning beauty!

Glad you got to see the Peloton. We watched daily. Thought it was a good race this year and I think saving the Mont Ventoux leg until the end was great.

Cameron, thank you! I haven't been online here for a while, sorry to have missed your post.

I agree, I've no idea why lavender and sunflowers aren't planted more, here. I do know of a few places in the DC area but they are pretty small farms.

Here are a few more photos from the trip, I have spent more time sorting my photos from my Dad's trip lately, which I will post shortly too.

Later I will just post my website link if anyone wants to see the rest of them... Thanks for looking!

Your photos are wonderful. After reading each post, I kept going back to look at those beautiful lavender fields over and over again.

I don't know what kind of camera you use, but the color is spectacular.

Ken, Chacalaca and Sharon - thank you so much!

The lighting in Provence is superb.

I have a Canon 30D and the lens I took with me is my Canon 24-105 F4L IS.

I haven't sorted all the Provence ones, not at all. I'll get the rest up in a week or so.

Thank you again, I'm very flattered and pleased that you like them.

Really gorgeous...we had tried to meet up with Kevin and you all that morning but our drive up from Nice was delayed by heavy traffic. We caught the race a bit outside of Monnieux toward Sault. My lavendar photos are not nearly as rich looking as yours--say what you will about the gorgeous light, but your lens really made a big diff compared to mine Smile I'll be very anxious to see the rest of your photos! Hi

I still haven't written a full report for Mom's trip (nor Dad's, still working on the book of memories) but I did update the photos on my blog:
