I wish I had read something like this before our visit to Seville last year. I didn't research the best places to eat etc. because, from what I could gather, I assumed that we would just pop in and out of bars and be spoilt for choice of delicious tapas dishes all evening long. It just wasn't like that. It was the last evening of our three day visit before we were served with delicious tapas in a place off the beaten track. The service was slapdash and rushed and the choices were poor in many attractive(from the outside)looking places

Shannon, this definitely looks like an excellent resource! I'll have to tuck this away in my favorites folder for future reference. Having some spanish heritage in me, I'm finally thinking 2008 might be the year! Been reading some interesting threads being generated here. Thank you!

Sinead, I totally agree. We had some good tapas in Sevilla - from recommedations here, for the most part. But we had some pretty mediocre ones as well.

Trek, I think you would love Sevilla and that whole region... when are you thinking of going?

hola Shannon, et al,

I'm so pleased you like my tapa blog as it is quite a 'labour of love', and I agree that something like this is very nice to have when you go somewhere for the first time. I went to Barcelona and Lisbon this year and lucked out a few times with finding great places to eat, but it always felt like a gamble as I didn't have any personal recommendations.

For example, on my street there are at least ten tapa bars, but only one I would personally eat in.

Anyhow, I started this blog because people were often asking me about good places to eat in Sevilla, so I thought instead of just telling them I could also show them. If you have any questions please feel free to drop me a line.

Shannon, I think I'd love Sevilla too! The more I read about this region, the more I'm certain.

Waiting to see how this year is going to play out, so I'm not definite on when yet. If anything, it'll most likely be for 3 weeks in the fall or early winter (Sept.- Dec.). I read that southern Spain is warmer so maybe these months will still be okay. I'm really enjoying reading the discussions here and learning a lot in the process. This is so exciting!

Very nice blog Azahar!

I am going to Sevilla in March, so I am very grateful for the tapas recommendations. Does anyone have recommendations for a bus one way to Granada from Cordoba? Also any recommendations for Flamenco in Sevilla?

Thanks,
Lynnee

This is a terrific resource! Thank you Shannon for pointing it out.

I am gaining a much better appreciation of the possibilities of tapas. Lots of diversity of settings too.

I shall spend way too much time now dreaming about where to eat.

Lynnie, I used a bus service called Continental Auto - you can check the timetables here.

For flamenco, my mom and I really liked El Arenal .

the bus Continental is pretty good, as for flamenco
try Tablao Puerta de Triana for an aunthentic experience
also the EL Palacio Andaluz try the 21H45 show:late is better in Spain.
