Time is closing in and before I single out an apart or hotel , I need help deciding, first on which area. Personal preference will influence but could any of you answer:

Santa Cruz, if the hotel is on a pedestrian street, is a taxi allowed to deliver us to the door? My sister will be along and if I know her – there will be luggage.

Triana, it looks close to the main sites and would have its own flavor but with only two connecting bridges, would home base there be a commute problem.

Macarena/Alameda de Hercules, is it too far for a practical walk to and from the center, Cathedral and Santa Cruz, twice a day.

If I remember, Azahar(?) said either c/Vidrio or was it c/Viriato, was to be avoided. How far a concentric circle from that area should be avoided?

I would strongly recommend to stay with sevilla5.com San Andres apt. (any of them is perfect!). It is a great location, close to everything, a nice plaza with the owner's restaurant/cafe/bar downstairs, perfectly cleaned and taken care of. Whatever happens the owner is there to help you with everything. We loved it and would stay there again. One of the best places we ever rented. Good luck!

Hi Dina,
I do have the San Andres on a preliminary list, the only drawback, for me, is lack of a interior andalucian patio. Thanks for the positive feedback on your stay there.

We have only ever stayed in Santa Cruz and will probably continue to do so. Several times in sevilla5 apartments which have both been great.

Most parts of it, a taxi could get you to the door, or very close. The furthest we walked was on our first stay - I suspect as the taxi driver didn't know how to get closer as it was certainly possible - and we walked for maybe 5 mins each rolling a large suitcase. Was not a problem.

Noise is potentially an issue in this barrio - that may or may not concern you, but much of it is very noisy until the early hours.

Noise... even at the time of year we will be there, first week of March?
I have read all the ST reviews on accomadations in Sevilla which are very useful, thanks for the additional input.

All Spanish cities are noisy until often very late at night. Most parts of Santa Cruz will be noisy all year until midnight - 1am, possibly later.

The good thing about March is that you probably won't need windows open.
