I'm checking some out! We will stay four days... I think the Carmen area looks nice, but I am pretty open. Any opinions on these apartments?

El Cid

Embajador Vich

Mahler Apartment
(This one may be out of our price range, but it sure looks nice.)

Paseo de la Pechina

Even if you have not been to Valencia, I certainly welcome your opinions on the actual apartments. Thumbs Up

I haven't been to Valencia but I recently came across these two blogs about Valencia that you might find interesting, Shannon.

Ivan in Valencia

Eat in Valencia

Actually, plans to go to Morocco next weekend have fallen through. Perhaps we should go to Valencia instead...

I think I have found the apartment I want.

I am in love with this place, I just have to get the OK from my mom, then I am going to go with it.

(Thanks for the blog links azahar - if you want to come to Valencia in September, we will have you over for dinner in our penthouse.) Big Grin

Shannon,

I am also considering renting the penthouse for a weekend in September that I will be in Valencia (24-27th). It looks great!

I will be travelling by myself & only staying for the weekend...I haven't had a lot of time for research as I have several other trips to plan.

By any chance, do you have any other information that you care to share?

I really only booked this ticket due to an incredible deal from Delta that I simply could not refuse....so, I am scrambling to pull together a plan :-)

Kind regards,
Laura Smile

Laura - seriously? You would be checking in the day we check out. We'll just miss you! What time do you arrive - maybe we can at least have a coffee before we head out of town.

I don't have anything else to add, except that Victor who owns the apartment has been a dream to work with and I can't wait to get there. We will leave some notes in the apartment for you, where to go etc if we find some cool stuff in the 'hood.

Maybe we can let you in instead of Victor and he can sleep in that day. Happy

I still can't get over the price of this place. Can you imagine how much it would cost in Paris or Rome?

Shannon,

My flight (from NYC) arrives in VLC around 8 a.m.---so, I am guessing that I will be in the city center by 9ish...

I haven't yet confirmed my accommodations yet. My sister was able to get me a room for Thursday (24t)at the Westin at her employee rate Smile which is even less than the apartment! I was also not sure if they would rent the room for only 2 nights---so, I am trying to decide if I should forego the night at the Westin. The place looks fabulous...so, I am very tempted!

Regardless, I would love to meet up and have a coffee Coffee if you will still be in Valencia.

Laura

Hmmm.... with such a short stay I am not sure it would be worth it to move accommodations after one day.
