Hi Sadie,

I just want to clarify something. When you said 'they say that it is very clean, but the area is not that great', to what is exactly is it referring?

If you decide to stay on the Costa del Sol, the transport links are quite good. There is a regular train service from Malaga airport to Torremolinos, Benalmadena and Fuengirola; and plenty of buses along the coast from these resorts to Marbella.

See ctsa-portillo.com for buses or http://www.renfe.com/cercanias/malaga/index.html for trains.

I'm sorry I wasn't very clear. I was referring to the Sunset Beach. Club.

Thanks again!

Hi Sadie,

Sorry, that I'm such a latecomer to your original question.

Wow, you've had so much advice from everyone, which just goes to show how much the Costa del Sol has to offer.

We moved over here from the UK in October 2006 and absolutely love it. It's a completely different lifestyle to what we had before. We live in the stunning Axarquia region of Andalucia where we are surrounded by olive groves and almond trees. With the mountains offering a spectacular backdrop.

My advice to you would be to split your time up into possibly 3 different regions of Andalucia so that you achieve the best variation out of your time here, encompassing perhaps a mix of costal, cities and rural.

With your husband not being keen to drive, have you considered a part of your holiday to include private touring, whereby you can choose exactly what you want to see, where a driver and vehicle is included?

Best of luck with your plans. I'm sure that you'll have a great trip.

Cheers.

Jess
