Hi all just a heads up for those that are coming to Barcelona in Jan. The INOUT hostel is only charging 6 euro a night per person. Sure you don't have your own bathroom but hey for 6 euro we don't mind. There are other benefits but you can find those on the web page

Yesterday I also went hunting for that hostel. 6 euros! Now I'm trying to find others for the places that I am going to in Feb/Mar. Finding a place like this produces visions of the tapas and wine and restaurants where I could spend what is saved in sleeping.

That's not even in Barcelona!
Once we stayed in a very, VERY basic guest house in the Golden Triangle in front of the Mekong. It cost about 6 euro.
After spending the night there, we agreed it was no rip-off. It was indeed worth 6 euro.

Granted, far from Barcelona center, but if the cost of public transport down there and back still keeps that part of your daily expense under 8 euros...
The web site tip says you can purchase a bono for 10 rides / 7 euros.

The hostel is about 15 min from the centre of the city however you can take the train in for 1.70 however you can buy a 10 ride pass for 7 something euros. The hostel breakfast is nothing to write home about, little sparse but you could have a big evening meal and make it up, or what I did was boil some water for some oatmeal which I love. The hostel also has a kitchen which is lacking some of the basics. But for 6 euro's who can complain. Have fun in Barcelona.
