I have recently learned from Barcelona locals that Barca is a football team and Barna is the correct abbreviation for Barcelona. I had no idea and thought others might make the same error. Apparently it is a mistake akin to calling San Francisco " Frisco".

I think I will just call it Barcelona... then I don't have to worry...
