My girlfriend and I are planning on spending a month in Spain this summer learning Spanish. We want to stay in a town that will be exciting for the entire month, and which will allow us good travel opportunities on the weekend. In my preliminary research, Salamanca and Granada sound like good possibilities.
I would appreciate all opinions from those of you who have visited Spain. Also, if any of you have knowledge of specific language programs, please share!
hey great going we cross again from other site! as previously answered, i will take Granada over Salamanca;do not know language courses,as i am spanish never taken them
however, you might inquire about San Sebastian for my money a better place to be near the beach and great night life.OF course, I am bias towards Madrid
This past summer my son spent 1 month in Santander attending the Spanish language courses offered by Universidad Internacional Menendez Pelayo. Santander is a very nice city with a beautiful beach. It is near Bilbao, San Sebastian and the Picos de Europa area.
I love Salamanca but in the summer I much prefer Northern Spain.
