I was wondering if anyone knows of a nice affordable apartment in Barcelona? I thought I had finally found where we wanted to stay for five days but the owner seems quite hopeless to respond to emails which kind of puts me off. Being close to the train station could help too as we may take the train back to Paris.

Thanks in advance.
Sandy

yeah good question ,whats affordable? price wise.
if you really like the apartment, you can email me the details and I can call/email the owner for you;I am Spanish. Beginning of the year there is Epiphany and extends until this weekend for holiday takers:so that could be why no response.

Hi

I was quoted the incredible price of 75 Euros a night. I believe the owner lives in England. The site is75 Euro Apt. I have been trying to email him back for over two weeks.

I don't even know if this is a suggested area to stay in. We are just making a detour here from France and Italy for about 4 days with our 13 year old.

I would appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks
Sandy

I thought both of the stations departed to Paris but I certainly could be wrong about that.

Meanwhile I got another apt. quote for 75 Euros a night. What about this location?

Carrer Marina 119

The next apt.is 100 Euro a night Here

Apt. Details

The first apartment is in el Fort Piene, the right Eixample, at the corner of Carrier D'alí Bei.

The second apartment is located in the southern end of el Guinadó, not too far from La Sagrada Familia.

If you're looking for something run by a company, then you should check out "Lofts & Apartments", which is owned by the Derby Hotel Group.

We have rented one here for our upcoming trip. They are affordable, quick to respond and I have a good review from a previous renter. Great area in Eixample. We rented for four nights. It came to 115 euros per night.

Hi Pedmar

The 75 Euro is in your favourite area? I thought it was too far out.....but what do I know? If possible could you please email me? I have too many questions to ask!

Thanks

Hi!
I am Marta, from Portugal.

I will fly to Barcelona in 2 weeks and it will be my second time there.
The first one i went with a big group from my university, and we slept in Hotel Ronda, but was not a good hotel and neighborhood.

This time i will stay in Inside BCN appartments http://www.inside-bcn.com/ located in El Born district.
Prices are not very high (150 €/night for a full equiped appartment for 4, but they have cheaper ones to less people).
For the recomendations i have and reviews i read these appartments seem to be a good choice but only in the next 21 March i can tell for sure :-)

We hope to enjoy the stay.
Greetings,

Marta

The "inside BCN" apartments are in an excellent part of town, perhaps the best.
The one bdrm apartment for 2 persons is very good value.
I have visited the interior. It is relatively small but very well done even though I usually don't like modern interior. The whole operation seems well run.

Marta, I stayed in the same apartment as the one shown on the Inside BCN homepage... this one.

I don't know if that is the one you are renting, but if it is I can tell you that it is a really great apartment! One of the best vacation rentals I have ever rented.

This is a new agency though - so I hope after your trip you will write a new review. You can submit reviews here.

Oh, and welcome to Slowtalk!
