the Palacio de Linares of the jewels of Madrid but never open to the public since 1884 its now open for public viewing!!! tomorrow Sunday 24 JUne.
this is the magazine for Madrid in spanish ,you can get it free at all metro stations and it shows the wonderful photos of this Palace of Linares family.near the Cibeles fountain,and the home of the HOuse of the Americas.
ok will translate the main points Saturdays visits will be from 11.00am and will end by 1PM, Sundays will have the same hours, however on Mondays it will be from 15.00(3PM)to 17.00(5PM).

It's GREAT that Madrid's Palacio de Linares is finally open to the public. It looks like something REALLY special from the photos.
I think I heard on TV that they were already booked solid through August. Now, upon viewing their website (see pedmar's links above), it seems it's booked through the end of the year. Take a look at the SOLICITUD DE RESERVA VISITAS GUIADAS or Guided tours booking form page and try to make a mock reservation, looking at the dates available. I don't see any available for the entire year. All the dates at "X"'d out on the calender.
yes wont be surprise its new and historic. just something to keep in mind for the future trip to Madrid. You can always check back on the site. Not that there are so many other things to see;just adds another one.
