I had a small gathering and would like to have a heading, in Italian, for the list of cities where everybody came from. I've used a dictionary to translate word by word, but it seems to have lost the context. Here is the heading in English

What is "intrvenuti"? intrevenuti?

I know that Alice types really fast and makes a few typos here and there so, I believe the phrase should be "sono venuti ospiti da:".

edit: I should have looked it up on the Garzanti site before posting. It's intervenuti, past participle of intervenire: to be present, to attend, to come, to go, to take part.

Then Alice's phrase is "Sono intervenuti ospiti da:".

I sure hope I got it right.

One more question: what would be a good word or phrase for "name tag", like the kind you wear at a convention or meeting?

or as Alice suggested one could say
"Gli intervenuti" that is using the p.p as a name

Partecipanti is a bit more "time flexible"

you could say i partecipanti proverranno (will come) from 80 countries

while you couldn't say
gli intervenuti proverranno

both
i partecipanti provenivano da 80 paesi
gli intervenuti provenivano da 80 paesi
are correct
