Here you have some sentences, Marian (and all).

Ti faccio vedere i pantaloni che ho comprato.
I show you the trousers I bought.
Fammi vedere come si usa il dvd.
Show me how to use the dvd.
La televisione fa vedere posti lontani.
Tv shows far away places.

Fammi vedere = informal
Mi faccia vedere = formal

Formal commands never conjoin the pronoun and verb, and they use the congiuntivo.

Exactly Rar,
but also mostrare is more formal than far vedere.
A carabiniere would probably tell you:
Mi mostri i suoi documenti
(they're quite formal)
but they can also tell you:
Mi faccia vedere i suoi documenti

If you say fammi vedere stai dando del tu to the person you're talking to:
Mi faccia vedere (lei) i suoi documenti
Fammi vedere (tu) la tua macchina nuova
Enjoy your Italian!
