I've Googled without success. I'm looking for help on terms I will need in buying in a market.Will 3.4 euros be "tre euro quaranta" or are there idiomatic expressions that I won't recognize?

"Tre euro e quaranta" or just "tre e quaranta". There may be strictly local dialectal expressions, though, that are not know anywhere else but where you are going.
