What is a french horn called in Italian? Art used to play the french horn when he was in high school and college and would like to be able to tell the people in our town bank what instrument he played.

I believe it can also be called corno a pistoni

If you google "corno francese" you will get lots of hits.

This site in Italian clearly labels a French horn "corno francese."
