I was thinking about Slow Travel and how great the rental/hotel/restaurant reviews are and I got to wondering.... Wouldn't you like to see reviews of tours and tour guides? I would! Anyone else?

Sharon, that's an intriguing proposition because the only way I've traveled has been with bus tours (never again) or DIY, with lots of research beforehand. From this website I've learned that you can get private guides and smaller specialized tours? I'd love to go places with an art historian or architect, or just a local history buff. Not the entire trip, but just for a day in the whole Slow Travel schedule.

Submitting a "Postcard" or "Travel Note" explained here, for posting on Slowtrav is a good way to share info about memorable moments, including tours you've taken.

Thanks for posting the link to previous discussions on reviews. I went and read the posts. Most of the discussion seemed to be about car services, not guides. On my trips, I always find a private guide for a tour--it really enhances my trip and gives me insights that I wouldn't get from a book. I still think a section on guides would be helpful--maybe I'll work on it for my blog....
