Having an odd time this evening - every time I change between forums, it is asking me to log in again - even though it shows me as being logged in at the top of the page ie Welcome, Panda.

(And telling me membership is needed for non-Gold Star forums.)

Confused Whaaaat?

Panda, I've flagged this for Kim. She's busy this weekend, but I'm sure will help you out ASAP.

I am having the same problem. It gets very tiring when one has to log on each time. I was also getting the "membership for forums" notice.

I am still unable to log on to the Gold Star forum and I just wanted to check the Small Bites schedule. Mad

Kim opened a support ticket on this late last week, but we haven't yet heard from LiveCloud on what's going on.

It would be helpful if you could tell us what systems (Mac or PC, Firefox, IE, etc)you're using. Also, the time of day it happens. Have you tried deleting your cookies?

Thanks for your patience! Eden, next week in SB is Pecans, and the following week is pumpkin.

PC, Internet Explorer, cookies deleted and general computer housekeeping done yesterday but still happening this morning (happened late at night (UK time) and early morning).

It did it this morning - showed as logged on but when I tried to reply to a post on the UK forum (not this one, interestingly!) the reply box was filled with a Livecloud log in form.

On Friday they said they fixed it. Obviously not - I'll update the support ticket.

Here's there reply:

===========================
can you ask them to check their cookie settings and make sure to add both your site and livecloud.com to their whitelist?

There's a cookie that keeps track of whether or not you're logged in, and if that get stripped you'll have to log in again each time you visit a new page. Same with premium memberships.

===========================
If you aren't rejecting/stripping cookies and it's still happening, please let me know.

If you're using FireFox, Click Tools - Options - Privacy. Make sure you're excepting cookies. Also click Exceptions, then enter slowtalk.com and click Allow and enter livecloud.com and click Allow.

If you're using IE, click Tools, Internet Options, click Sites, then enter slowtalk.com and click Allow and enter livecloud.com and click Allow. Then click OK.

Oh, and I believe, when they say Stripping, they want to make sure you're not deleting your "private data" every time you close Firefox, but I'm verifying that.

So here's my advice. First - go here and follow the instructions for deleting your temporary Internet files and cookies to get a clean slate. Then follow the instructions above depending on your browser, making sure you're accepting cookies from both livecloud.com and slowtalk.com. After that, if you're still having problems, post here.

Also, if you're using a browser other than Firefox or IE and are unsure how to check your cookie situation, post here and we'll get someone to help you.

Thanks.

Well this will probably jinx it but it all seems ok at the moment - without me having to do anything. If it all goes peculiar again, I'll follow the instructions.

Thanks!
