Wow, It's amazing how fast slow travel topics make it on to google. I was just searching for the company on the tool booth fines and the slow trav thread is the 2nd listed result!

How do you account for this sucess?,is it because of the amount of daily new content on the site? RR

What can I say? Google likes me!!

Once Google determines that a site is active - new content every day - it sets it on a 24 or 48 hours indexing schedule. I get Google Alerts when anything gets indexed for Slow Travel and I see that our new classifieds are indexed the same day they are added.

The part of the site that is not indexed well is SlowPhotos - but we are working on that.

Sometimes I find it funny when searching for something I don't know and I find a SlowTrav page on the first page of search results.

These are the important things to Google IMO (no one knows for sure and there are whole message board devoted to this):

1. New content added daily or weekly.
2. Good page titles (they display in the browser window at the top) with good keywords for the page.
3. A large, indepth site, with lots of pages with good content.
