Whenever I reply, the message is indented, but everybody else's messages in the thread are aligned flush left with the original post. How do you do that?

If you go to the Italy forum and look at the Where to visit in February (Not Rome) - coming from London - have one week thread, you'll see that my entry is indented, but everybody else's are in line with the original message. I don't know how to add to a thread without using the Reply arrow, which seems to be what indents a message. Just like this one.
Does that make sense?

Is it something to do with the text size in your browser? I can get the effect you mention if I crank up the text size to a lot larger than my normal setting. Then, your screen name pushes over into the message area - whereas other long names, like Robert Rainey or Rome Addict, split onto two lines. You could try re-naming yourself with a space or two, or make your viewing text size smaller (view>text size), and see if that works.

So what I'm saying (not very concisely...) is that it's nothing to do with the reply button (we all use that!), but the fact that AprilTwoCats is a long name with no spaces!

Eureka! Thanks Jonathan.
I notice that my public name changed on this thread--can I assume it will happen everywhere I've participated?

I guess Jonathan takes his beauty sleep at this hour, so yes, the name has changed all the way back to September 2007!

Every time I see the title of this thread I read it as MASSAGE alignment - and think Robert Rainey has been posting ads on ST! Cool
