It would be nice to be able to save "drafts" on the board, before posts being finalised. Sometimes there is no time to finish a post, other times a "bright" idea needs some thinking or working on.

Any chance?

I either write mine in Word, and then copy and paste into a slowtravel post, or copy and paste from slowtravel to Word if I get distracted or busy. Also, Word can spell-check it.

Some forums have a "preview" feature, which shows what the post will look like (final form) in the thread. Reading it in "preview" form, I catch even more things I might want to change before I hit "Post Now." (like a change in content, grammar, odd spacing, deletions, etc.)

Kinda wish we had "Preview," or do we? and I just haven't found it? Confused

Yes, but writing first into Word is a hassle for me. Not that I haven't tried it, because I did. But it somehow takes away from the spontaneity and freshness of an answer to a post "live", it becomes more calculated... By the way, the preview can't be stored either. I really meant "draft", like what we have for trip reports, where you can go in and change stuff before finally making up your mind that it is as good as it will ever be.

Another option is to have a NOTEPAD window open. I do this. I do the post in the post box, then decide that I want to wait, so copy the text into notepad and leave it there on the screen.

Or sometimes I just leave the post window open on the screen while I wait - but this gets deleted if you pop open another reply window (I have done that many times).

Our original message board software, also from Groupee but we ran it on our own server, had a preview post option. Many message boards do. But I have never heard of a Draft option.

There is one on the Groupee forums - I will post there asking for this.

Thank you, Pauline. I'll wait for Christmas and see if I get a Slow Travel "Draft reply/post" feature in my red stocking.
