Who else is having trouble getting into their ST blog? I keep getting the "waiting for slow travel" message and there are times I just have to give up as it takes too bloody long!

This has been going on for a few days now and it's maddening. What's the deal? Is this a server issue? I don't think it's my computer as it only happens when I try to get into my blog!

Kathy - to be honest, I've been sick and haven't blogged since my return.

Is this happening before or after you enter your user ID and password?

I just accessed mine, and while it did take a moment to load, it wasn't horrendous.

Have you noticed whether or not this is constant or during certain times of the day?

It was bad this morning and equally bad yesterday afternoon. I have my blog bookmarked so I go right to it without signing in. What takes the longest is trying to get into entries, read comments, post things, etc. It has all been taking a while and it seems to be getting worse!

Slowphotos was being slow this afternoon, too. Is it the same server?

Our tech team is aware of this issue and is working on it. Should be about a day or two. Pauline is going to be in our offices today and tomorrow so we will have to borrow some of our tech lead's time as he will be in the meetings with us. Thanks for your patience.

Last night it was nearly impossible to get into my blog or post on it and this morning I can't get in at all! I've tried multiple times and I can't get in. What's up?

The SlowTrav sites (main, photos, blogs, reports) are down - see the Announcements forum.

I truly hope this is fixed today as this has been going on for a while now and it's a drag not being able to get into your own blog. Here's hoping the lovely tech fairies do their magic and get this fixed ASAP!

We moved to a new server (for slowtrav.com and slowphotos.com) a couple of weeks ago, but there have been a few residual problems. Slowphotos.com is running slow, we had some problems with the blogs and the blog control panels are slow and slowtrav.com was down most of today.

Moving to a new server ain't easy! Slowtrav and slowphotos are big sites and the move was not easy. Things will get worked out over the next week and we will be back to normal.

Plus, I was in the IB offices the past two days (planning sessions!!) and did take some of the tech people away from their work. The upside was that I got to meet them all and they are a great group!

I did a test post on my blog and the system is working, but it did seem slow. We will get this worked out soon.

I can't get in to my blog AGAIN today. I got in yesterday but have now tried several times and it's a no go. I can't get into the other ST blogs as well. Still problems?
