How do I delete a post?

Ever since the Edit symbol was changed to a red rectangle with an eraser, I've been double posting for some reason. I would like to be able to delete one of them.

The tip for the Edit symbol says "Edit or Delete Message," but I can't figure out how to do the Delete.

I have done it already. You can delete a post in the first 60 minutes after posting it, after which a moderator can do it.

OK. But I've tried to delete it in the first 5 minutes, and I can't figure out how. What do I do?

How to do it? Click on the rectangular button below the post. A window will open, which will offer a link "Delete Message...?" Click on this link and the post will be deleted.

I just tired that twice with my last post above (only 7 minutes old), but it wasn't deleted.

I can edit fine, but not delete.

Are my privileges set up OK?

Sorry, but there's actually a bug in the Groupee software that does not allow members to delete their own posts.

If you want a post deleted, click on the ALERT icon (yellow triangle with exclamation point) at the lower right of your post. A window will open up where you can enter 'delete this post' and one of the moderators will delete it for you.

But if I am able to delete in the Testing fourn and still can't delete here in a regular forum, it doesn't help.

I should be able to delete one my messages in this thread.

Got it!

I'm just as happy with the moderators doing other more important stuff than deleting my double posts.

If, however, you prefer to have the threads cleaned up, I'll notify you when a delete is necessary.

I like keeping the threads clean - I agree with Kim, hit the alert and we will delete it.

I made a mistake yesterday too with the new EDIT button - I quoted when I meant to edit!!

Perhaps you could ask the Groupee team to put a little more space between the 3 buttons. Many displays are set to very high resolutions and the buttons are almost sitting on top of each other - sometimes it's hard to mouse the right one.
