So why do I keep getting this message on all the ST pages? I'm not getting the message on other sites. I've got the little yellow triangle in the bottomleft corner with an exclamation point...what's up with that? I've tried going out of the site, then going to another page and typing in "www.slowtalk.com" or "www.slowtrav.com", but I still get the error message! Is it me, or my computer, or my connection, or something with the ST site???

Not something we experience here! I don't think anybody else reported a similar problem. Can you post or email the screen with the error message? Is it intermitent?

As I posted above, in the bottom left hand corner of the screen is a little yellow triangle with and exclamation point over it. As the page attempts to load, just as it's almost finished, in the bottom left hand corner is the message: "Done but with errors on the page", then the text disappears and only the yellow waring triangle remains.

So far I don't see any problems with the page itself, but a few hours ago when Art wanted to post a reply to a thread he kept getting a blank "about.com" box instead of the "post a reply" box. I think someone recently had the same problem, but at least that appears to have corrected itself.

Yes, the "about.com" happens to me too, Barb, when the website response time is slower than normal. In fact, it happenned with the screen for this reply, and then it changed to the correct format. Anyway, we will check it up. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Barb,
I had a similar problem last week.
Once I followed the steps from the ST help page to clean out my temp files and ST cookies, things worked fine.

Try that and let us know --

I'm happy to report that everything is now loading correctly, and I haven'[t even changed anything! The internet is either heaven or hell...sometimes both in the same day!

About "about.com" and us, it is still happening, just not as frequently. I still go off line and re-start my laptop. The situation has improved, but not gone away. Wendy

What browser/security are you using Barb?

I believe, if memory serves, it has to do with the google ads and pop-up blockers and stuff. I recall fixing it when I removed the stuff in Norton that prevented ads from showing and popups, I didn't get the intermittent errors (and that little triangle with the excalmation point in the bottom corner).

I'm using IE AND norton's. But what makes it happens sometimes but not always? As for changing settings, I'm not sure I'd be able to do that. I still want to block most pop-ups, and don't know if I have the knowledge to change some settings without screwing everything up!
