I've been unable to upload more than one photo at a time to the album I created a couple of weeks ago. I've tried zip files, well within the maximum size, but I get a long wait ("waiting for Slow photos") followed by an error message that the connection has been interrupted.
Marian, as much as I'd love to help, I usually manage to break SlowPhotos as much as fix things. As soon as Marta returns from her holiday weekend she'll be happy to look into it.
Marta, I'm checking. Although I THOUGHT I had resized all the photos to 450 pixels max long side, it's possible I then somehow was working with the originals.
It's all my granddaughter's fault. She took hundreds of photos, and I finally got it down to "only" 160. I put just some of them in a zip file, which was under the size limit, but who knows. I'm resizing the photos again.
I did some tests. Zips are working. I zipped up around 11 photos. The photos were sized pretty small (100kb or so) and the total zip was about 1200kb. It was pretty fast at processing them and they uploaded fine.
If you recently got a new camera, there is a possibility that they are larger in size. The newer camera with 8meg pixels or larger tend to have large size photos even when they are resized to 640x480. I've found that making certain you are using 72dpi or "Saving for the Web" in tools like Photoshop Elements produce the best results.
Good luck. I know how hard it is to select photos and reduce down the size. I am still working on my photos from Borneo after 3 months.
