The toolbar that used to appear when I would post messages is missing. Does anyone know how I can turn this back on?

What I mean by this is the toolbar that contains graemlins, bold, italic, etc.....

Are you clicking the yellow reply button or the blue one? The yellow is quick reply and does not have the graemlins, etc.

I have a feeling it's got something to do with the fact that I upgraded my Norton Utilities. All sorts of odd things have occurred since then. I thought it might be that my security settings are too high but changing them hasn't helped.

I think you are right. It is some setting in Norton. Check out our help page. Make certain you add SlowTalk as a trusted site in the Norton Firewall. Also, the board uses javascript so make certain you have allowed running of javascript.

I'll also search a bit to see if there are any other tips for Norton besides the firewall settings.

I couldn't find any other tips regarding Norton. The previous problems I remembered were related to using Netscape.

I would focus on the settings on the firewall. There are some other general tips on the page I linked above regarding checking your cookies and clearing your internet cache.
