There suddenly seem to be people with a million links in their signatures and it is rather hard on the eyes at times. If every ST member added tons of links to their signatures the boards would be clutter city!
Is there any way of keeping things cleaner and just having people use one or two links that say things like here's my stuff? My eyes hurt after reading some threads and the group blog seems to run through pages faster because of all of the extra space used for these things.
I seem to recall the option of having a personal ST page that you could link to with all of your trip reports, etc. I thought that was a great option! Made good sense to me.
Hey Kathy - The 'slim sig' rule is still in effect. The mods catch all the big sigs we can, and let the ST'er know the rules - but we miss some.
The best thing to do is send an alert on any you see that don't comply. Alerts are sent to all the mods, so one of us can then contact the poster to make the signature change.
Thanks - Colleen

For clarification (and believe me, I always need to go look at this rule to see what's kosher as laid out by Pauline last year ):
You can have one link to one website, a link to your Slow Travel Classified, a link to your blog, and links to your Slow Travel pages. Those are the only links allowed in a signature. You can also have your name and a favorite quote. Signature Rules
If anyone would like to have their ST material gathered so it can be linked to on one page, just contact a Mod.

What a delightful idea. This would keep things flowing and be far more visually appealing. I am grateful to everyone who has or will do this. My eyes thank you as well.
Amy, I'm not sure when the lovely slim signature rule went away, but I really see no need for every trip report ever written to be posted separately in a signature. I think one page that holds them all is a rule worth considering.
